Bottle Description

The process of wood finishing was pioneered by the Balvenie master distiller David Stewart; this process is now commonly used in the whisky world. The Doublewood was originally released in 1993, such was the huge popularity of the twelve year old expression they decided to release the older seventeen year old in 2012. Matured in traditional Oak Casks then re-racked for a finishing period in European Oak Sherry Casks.
