Distillery Information
Abhain Dearg Distillery was founded in 2008 by Mark Tayburn. Situated on the west side on the Isle of Lewis, making it the most westerly distillery and most remote distillery in Scotland. It’s stills are an unusual shape, modelled on past illegal stills formerly used in the area. “ Spirit Of Lewis” was its first whisky produced, released in 2011.
